Oh My Gosh...It's been awhile!

Here is Sydney and her horse, Kat. It's been a great year for the two.  They showed at the 2015 Pinto World Show and came home with six top tens in different classes.  Now, they are both taking a little time off from the shows to concentrate on learning some new disciplines and returning back to school.  7th grade for Syd!  She is attending the Jane Goodell Environmental Science School this year in Maple Lake.

Bailey is back in school at PCI Academy in Plymouth working on her cosmetology license.  She will graduate in January and has already been interviewing different salons that she has an interest in working at.  Bailey also showed her two horses at the World Show this past year with us and came out with many awards and a highpoint saddle.  She too continues to expand her knowledge in the horse arena.  This year she added dressage (both English and western) and ranch western pleasure.

Happy Earth Day!

We took a little time out to enjoy the day, give a little something back to the earth, and appreciate our time as a family.  After the news of a dear friend/ co-worker's passing on Saturday, it was easy to spend that extra time sharing simple moments together.  I've been thinking a lot about Bobbi and feel as though I didn't get enough time in the end to share all that I had to say to her.  Bobbi Canton was an amazing woman who will be remembered for her bold personality, bravery in the face of an incredible fight, and for her love and dedication to her family.   May she find peace and continue to watch over us.  I will miss you Bobbi.

Mother nature has been playing some incredibly cruel tricks on us this spring. One minute we're pulling out swimwear, well not me, but those who wear swimwear, the next we're breaking out the hats and mittens! Easter break has arrived and the Eisinger family is all geared up for yard work, Easter Egg Scavenger Hunts, and cleaning out our pellet stoves for the summer. So, the weather doesn't stop us from yard work, Syd doesn't care if she is hunting eggs in several feet of snow, but the pellet stove...it's still burning! I was pleased with the weekend winds as they dried my laundry on the line mighty fast. So far our spring has been glorious, despite the cool temps. Here are some snapshots of happens from our world over the past couple months. Hope you enjoyed an Easter surrounded by a peace and happiness you've never felt before.

Band 51 Continues to "Rock On!"

Bailey and her band of dads continue to play together at Geez in Albertville on the 25th of February. It was a fun evening for all who attended. Bailey had quite a following, from her middle school principal, to family and friends, even one of our long time horse trainers! The sound system wasn't phenomenal which made us work to hear, but the crowd didn't care, they were dancing and singing along. Sounds like their next "gig" is in April. Bailey is also headed for another "Camp for Dads" that will feature country western music. We're all looking forward to see where the next experience goes.

SNOW DAY...

Sydney and I were dancing on the ceiling this morning when the Big Lake School District Closed for the day. It's not just a childhood wish folks, your teachers watch the school closings just as close, if not closer (Bailey was up at 4 a.m. checking the screen; little does she know our superintendents are not up to take care of business at that time). Out the door I went at 6 a.m. to visit the horses and take care of chores. What a winter wonderland, it is beautiful. Our family has dreaded this day a bit as it's been four years since mom was in the deadly car crash that took the life of one, and left her in a coma for two weeks. It just so happens she was scheduled to work last night. Fortunately, she is suffering from an odd case of Vertigo and had to take the week off from work. Blessing in disguise I believe. Last night's weather system was so similar to that of the 29th of 2008. Mom mentioned this a.m. that she would have been too frightened to make the trip today. Things happen for a reason. I think our family was given this day to remember the "life altering" experience and to spend some time together enjoying our good fortune. You never know what tomorrow might bring, cherish those moments you have.

Syd was out the door as early as possible to check out the snow and what it might be best used for. Check out "The Overseer," what Syd created, and a young cow peeking at the commotion from the pasture. Who doesn't love SNOW!
